I had been waiting for real snowy weather ever since unboxing my macro lens, hoping to capture the beautiful structures of a snowflake.

At first, I would not have imagined it would require more patience than photographing birds. These water crystals rarely remain intact and don’t often land in the right orientation.

It took several hours until I was covered in snow, observing fir branches in search of these perfectly mirrored patterns
