On the rim, within the rainforest, surrounded by silence and the distant songs of frogs, I witnessed the volcano’s cycles slowly increasing in intensity.

As pressure is released, chunks of lava are thrown into the air, while a deep, glowing magma flow moves gently.

The experience is overwhelming and beautiful, a reminder that some forces remain uncontrollable, leaving us only to feel their weight
